HP TEAM SELECTION CAMP

Athletes selected to the HP Selection Camp have been recognized as top talent in the Southern Region and are invited to train at this camp. During the Selection Camp, the 2024 SRVA HP Teams will be chosen

Invitations to Team Selection Camp will be sent out from Tryouts & Submitted Film. The purpose of Team Selection Camp is to select the strongest SRVA HP Teams possible while offering highly competitive training experience to multiple athletes within the Southern Region. This process replaces the former Experience Camp. We believe this process will allow our staff to more fully evaluate athletes and team creation over a 2 day period rather than the prior 2 hour tryout only format used in prior years.

Attendance for this camp is by invitation only. We intend to select ~18-28 athletes per intended Team Age Division to attend Team Selection Camp. Details for athletes who accept their invitation & registration for the HP Selection Camp are as follows

Camp Dates: Friday, 6/7 - Saturday, 6/8
Camp Location: Tsunami Volleyball Center - Jonesboro, GA
2 Day Camp
Commuter Camp - athletes are responsible for travel, housing and meals at this camp
Cost: $400

Teams with roster sizes of 12 athletes will be selected AT SRVA HP Selection Camp to be invited to participate on the SRVA HP Teams.

USA All-Star Championship Teams

Athletes selected to an SRVA HP Tournament Team will train with top college & high level coaches from the region and attend the USA All-Stars Championship Tournament

For 2024, we are fielding 5 SRVA HP teams this season for the All-Star Championships in Des Moines, Iowa:

Girls U19 (2006-2007)
Girls U17 (2008-2009)
Girls U15 (2010-2011)
Boys U19 (2006-2007)
Boys U17 (2008-2009) *younger may be considered*

Teams will be selected AT SRVA HP Selection Camp to the SRVA HP Teams. After selection & acceptance to the SRVA HP Team, athletes will attend the SRVA HP Team Training Camp - Details to come VERY SOON. For scheduling purposes, block off the dates: 7/14-22 for the Team Training Camp & All-Star Championship Tournament.

Team Training Camp athletes will stay in a college dormitory and eat in the dining hall while preparing with their team for the ASC Tournament (for 2024, we are planning Team Training Camp in Iowa to shorten the necessary travel days & travel expenses for participants).

Team Training Camp - (exact location TBA soon) 7/14-17

At the conclusion of HP Team Training Camp, the athletes will travel to the USA All-Stars Championship Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

The USA All-Stars Championship Tournament is one of the premier international indoor events in junior volleyball. It draws boys and girls teams from other Regional HP programs to compete in the elite, 4 day event.

USA All-Stars Championship Tournament, 7/18-21 at the HyVee Event Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

The athletes will leave Des Moines & travel home on 7/22.

SRVA HP Team Costs

Cost of the 2024 SRVA High Performance Team is $700 and does not include travel to/from Team Training Camp or the USA All-Star Championship Tournament. The $700 is also in addition to the Team Selection Camp Cost. The $700 Team Fee is to be paid at time of team acceptance. The $700 fee covers the following:

Food, Lodging, and Training by HP Program Staff at the 3.5 day SRVA HP Team Training Camp which will be held 7/14-17 at a location in Iowa TBA very soon.
The 2023 SRVA HP Program athlete package to include: 2 Training Camp T-shirts, 2 shorts, 1 pullover. 2 Uniform tops will be provided for tournament use but will remain the property of the SRVA HP Program at the conclusion.
Lodging, participation in, and coaching by the HP Program staff at the USA All-Star Championship Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

You will book your airfare or travel independently in the specific departure time window provided by the HP Program (Travel email to be sent after team rosters have been finalized).
