When can tryouts start for the 2026-2027 season?

The SRVA Board unanimously approved the following: “For the upcoming 2026- 2027 season, tryouts may not start earlier than Monday, 7/6/26.” We want all our members to be able to enjoy this Holiday weekend and celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Nation's birth.

SRVA Board Elections – Those running for a position on the Board of Directors were given 5 minutes to address the entire Board. There were 9 positions open for a 3-year term and 1 position open for a 2-year term.  One current Board member was not running for reelection.  We reviewed the election procedures.

Election Results – with new terms beginning July 1st, 2026, and running until June 30th, 2029.

Re-elected Board Members:  Garrett Bitter (GA), Stephanie Finn (GA), Anthony Marshall (TN), Christopher Miller (GA), Mary Beth Peake(GA), Sally Polhamus (GA), Michelle Prater (GA), Keith Weller (TN).

New Board Members:  Tracy Stevens (TN), Tamara Williams (AL), for the 2 years remaining of the previously vacant July 1st, 2025, - June 30th, 2028.
