In the August 24 meeting, the SRVA Board of Directors approved continued funding for the 24-25 season that will be used to support the growth of Boys' High School programs and participation.

Grants of up to $1,000 for the 2025 season and will be dispersed in two payments.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• One grant per school.
• Max of $1,000, even if a school has more than 1 boys team.
• Qualifying teams must have all players from one school (no hybrid teams).
• Both public and private schools are eligible.
• New and existing boys' programs are eligible in AL and TN.
• New teams and existing teams (that are 70% or higher of free or reduced lunch) for GA.
• All coaches must be USAV certified. A coach who is a registered Southern Region member has passed the background screening process and has also completed SafeSport, and Impact training.
•  Players must be in grades 8-12 participating on a High School team.
• Schools may apply but are not guaranteed until approved by the Boys Regional Grant Committee

TIMING:
• Grant applications will be available on November 1, 2024.
• The deadline to submit your School application is February 15th, 2025.
• The Initial distribution of grant funds will begin no earlier than March 1st ($500).
• The secondary distribution of grant funds will begin no earlier than April 15th ($500). Funds will only be distributed to the school or athletic booster club (no individuals)
PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS:
• The SRVA Boys Regional Grant Committee will review all applications.

• Information Submission timeline -
• Feb. 15th - Commitment form with W-9 for either school or school athletic booster club due (checks will not be sent to individuals).
• March 1st - Student Roster, Match Schedule, team picture, and a statement about your season, submit scores throughout the season using Max Preps if available.
• May 1st - final scores submitted.
